This MGC was purchased by the present owner in 1985 and has formed part of a long established private collection of interesting vehicles. Soon after the car was acquired it was put into a complete last nut and bolt body off restoration by MG Marque specialists. Although driven regularly over the period it has only been sparingly and carefully used and always kept in dry storage. The result is a virtual time warp vehicle in beautiful condition with a wonderful careful used feel to it but pretty well perfect in every way. This is an important and interesting vehicle in the history of British post war sports cars in great condition and with a good provenance having been cared for in every way for the last 36 years.

The MGC was introduced by MG Motors to deal with a demand for a car more powerful than the enormously successful MGB and was manufactured for a very short time only between 1967 and 1969. In that time 4542 roadster versions were made with a minimum of half of that number going for the export market and mainly to America. This particular car was registered in 1968 so it is from the middle of the production run. Out of the just over 2000 UK cars made it is thought that no more than 5/600 cars are left in existence.
